In the Ford stands, it's looking clean, wide-spaced. Several cars on display, including a Ford Focus, two-door, well hatchback. And they have a new Ford Focus on display, It looks like a coupe, not the usual hatch, having harder angles. Though the lights are smaller around the back, more angled.
There's a new car, or a vehicle concept, from Ford. It's the "Shelby GTR-1", which almost looks like the GT-500. Well, not GT-500, the GT-40. So far, it looks pretty good, a slick coupe of course, the usual thing. I haven't found details on it yet.
Over in the Jaguar section, the largest car in the Jaguar that's attracted my attention is the XJ, which ranges between $90,000 and $126,000. The display price on the model at the auto show was $98,300. So, I'll just have to say we'll need to work for a few more years, maybe half our lifetime, eh Phil?
The next vehicle from Ford looks like a concept called the "Sinus". Pretty much looks like a minature armoured vehicle, pretty much in a dark grey board. The display beside this model says "To make it in this big city, you got to be tough". If you're not into this armoured vehicle, there's always the Honda section next door!
An interesting observation is that since I visited on the first Friday of the auto show, there's a lot less people, which means it's going to suck the next day when we visit as a contingent!
The next car I saw from Honda was the current Honda Civic sedan, which Phil and I went to took a look at (at a dealership in Markham, Ontario) but of course it was already bought, so we couldn't exactly take a peek in it, but now we're able to. The one I was looking at had an automatic transmission. I believe it was a "DXG", which is the model up from the "DX". This car has a display price of $20,775.64.
The usual Honda insides are quite tight, and the dash, as I always say, is a mountain. It may be comfortable, but it's more expensive than its competitors, including General Motors and Ford. Then again, we'll see how this car fares. I hear the quality's supposed to be pretty good, but we shall see in the future.
I was walking by the Mini stand, and it looks the same as last year minus a few subtle differences. Of course, there's a huge storm of people around them, so I couldn't really get in close.
