The Q
Toronto (Etobicoke)

Date Visited: August 20, 2011

The Q in Etobicoke is a converted St. Hubert restaurant that has stubbornly continued to make time tested food in a friendly, homey atmosphere. This independent establishment is a jewel in an area of strip malls and car yards.

Brandon introduced me to this interesting establishment as a short stop for lunch in his ongoing hobby: discovering cars. This time around his motives have not changed at all, but since it was earlier in the day, we tried their breakfast offerings for a change.

We were quickly shown in by an optimistic staff into a contemporary dining area and sat in a traditional booth. We both ordered homely fare - bacon and eggs with the standard trimmings including toast - and it was delivered to us promptly by a waiter who seemed open and easygoing.

One delicious part of this plate as Brandon pointed out, is the crunchy bacon, which you can simply pick up with your fingers! None of the fried food was greasy, and the meal includes a drink as well.

If you go in for lunch or dinner, try their chicken. It's quite delicious.

The Q is a uniquely simple dining experience that is foolproof from start to finish. And they also had free wifi when we visited.
