We've reviewed Denny's in Canada before, but America's
Diner just seems to be a more accurate slogan for locations south of the border.
Here's a look at what born-and-bred American food tastes like in America
itself. |

Twas two days before Christmas, and the tale entails, a bunch of
waiting staff wearing suitable regalia. Fine, you can't really rhyme on a restaurant
review, but trying to sound different shouldn't be a crime. |

You're probably saying "just get on with it Phil". Well, after three
hours of driving in the pitch dark and on only three hours of sleep, I just felt it would
be an appropriate idea to stop by for a few minutes and have breakfast. |

As predictable as I always am with protein, I chose to down another
plate of Chicken Fried Steak with sides. It's rather lovely being the sole patron
in the dining room not to have eggs, but one has to take advantage of ordering dinner
for breakfast, which is allowed with this chain. |

Service was great, albeit with a bit of a culture shock. You have to
pay at the till instead of signing off the check at the table. And they offer hot sauce
as a common seasoning. |
