There are plenty of American eateries by name that litter Clifton
Hill and downtown Niagara Falls, Ontario. But we thought: why not have American food in
America? |

Tucked away in a secluded corner of the Fashion Outlets of Niagara
Falls on the American side sits the local Applebee's on Military Road. Yes, we know there
are locations of this chain north of the border but we wanted to try it in its country of
origination. |
  |
We went with a special deal that gives you two entrees and an
appetizer. The boneless wings with barbeque sauce is nice and smoky without overwhelming
the palette. |
  |
Our entrees came out on piping warm plates which was a great idea
considering the wintry weather we had. I had a 7 oz steak with vegetables and mashed
potatoes which turned out very nicely and suited to my preferences. |

Mike had creamy seafood pasta with shrimp, and for a man who rarely
eats pasta he gave a satisfying look. |

Service was the star in this restaurant. Our waitress was positive,
responsible and witty throughout our brunch. We would definitely come back due to a
combination of good prices and exceptional service. |
