Dining with a view of Niagara Falls. That's a
fantasy many would love to do, the ultimate romantic setting. The Keg in Niagara Falls is
a steakhouse that advertises just that. |

Disappointment reached us almost immediately as we realized that we
had to endure a 90 minute wait just to be seated. If we weren't dining on vouchers as
part of our vacation package, we wouldn't have been here. |
  |
But the story didn't end there. 90 minutes is way too long for a
simple dinner, so we ordered from a carry-out menu. And the wait was reduced to 30
minutes. |
  |
We didn't get out of that unscathed. While waiting on a reluctant
bar staff to take our order, a rather surly lady declared some empty seats in front of
the bar was hers... hey, it's too dark to see the falls at its best, so the wait isn't
worth those seats even if we wanted them. |
  |
We are not impatient fellows, but in the deep of
November with freezing temperatures on a Saturday evening, it is improper to run a
restaurant over capacity by issuing way too many vouchers. |
  |
We both ordered the herb chicken with fries, a good combination that
tastes great. However, the cost (the waiting, the pretentious attitude and the price
which wasn't even fully covered by the vouchers) is not worth the hassle. |
