Vaughan
|
|
In recent years, the city has invested lots of their time developing their own
"downtown", the Vaughan Corporate Centre as it's called in the books. Companies,
retailers and hoteliers have been opening up new establishments here in anticipation
for the transportation links that this barren district will get eventually.

Markham
|
|
A technological powerhouse, Markham has been a hotbed of development like most
other municipalities in York Region. In fact, the infrastructure here has finally
started to catch up, with widening roads for inceased traffic. What's probably
most interesting about this part of the region is the shocking amount of
commercial development taking place here.

Newmarket
|
|
The contrasts of old and new make Newmarket a beehive of bi-polar
disorder. Main Street and Fairy Lake create much a comparison with
the new subdivisions and mall-additions that the town is experiencing
right now. In a way, this works out to Newmarket's advantage, as it
makes rural folk adapt so much more easily to city life, and city folk
adapt easily to small-town life.

Georgina
|
|
Georgina (or Keswick to be exact) is, someways, of good sentimental
value to Brandon and I. This is the place we first became friends,
and this is the place where Phil Liz and Lucy got its first popular
boost. It seems a long ways away from our original location in Vaughan,
but Keswick will remain quite a significant place to rest our memories in.
