What got this band together and started in this business?
|

Honeysmash was created by singer/songwriter/producer Rudiger in 2008.
|

Who writes and produces all the material for the band?
|
| |
|
Songs are written by Rudiger. He has written some by himself, but he also writes with others,
including Rob Fussari (Lady Gaga, Beyonce, etc.), Matt Ryan, Adam Howe, Dave Berg, Alex Feather
and some songs written with band members. Rudiger is open to writing with writers who have something
good to offer.

Frank Macek is Honeysmash's producer. An extremely innovative and talented producer, he has
produced other great artists such as India Arie, Faith Hill, Ice Cube & Tupac. Rudiger co-produces
with Frank on Honeysmash's songs.

Has the band played in front of or with any acts our readers would
know from the mainstream?

Honeysmash has performed in some of LA's hottest clubs, including The Key Club (with Steel Panther),
The Viper Room, The House Of Blues, The Roxy, The Whiskey, etc. Honeysmash recently did a show at
Circus Circus in Las Vegas with Holes And Hearts.

Any embarrassing moments on stage?
|

We were flashed by a very well endowed girl while on stage! It wasn't so much embarrassing as it
was distracting.

Any good stories you want to tell us?

We got to record at Westlake Studios where the famous Bad Album, Marilyn Manson and much more
were made.

Who are the band's musical influences?
|
| |
|
Honeysmash is influenced by such greats as Aerosmith, U2, Nickelback and Bon Jovi. Honeysmash has
come up with a very unique sound all their own, described as commercial magnetic rock with
power-driven lead vocals. Rudiger's vocals have been compared to the likes of Chris Cornell and
Steven Tyler. He is definitely The Real Deal!

Always played and sang music since birth.

|
| |
|
Grandfather was an opera singer.

What is the top reason why you want to play music?
|
| |
|
Rudiger lives and breathes music. It is his life. It's all he knows.

What has been your best show?
|
| |
|
Each show is better than the last. Honeysmash's recent show in Vegas this was the best so far!
