Interview: J.Biz |
What got you started in this business?
Well what got this company together was camaraderie, loyalty and love for what we do and who we are.
My partner/family till this day, Chupie put the name - Let's Get It There Ent - together because
"let's get it there" was a phrase he often used to look towards his obstacles/goals in life. I
definitely shared this outlook and was honored to take up the role of running the company with him.
Now we make daily plans to run the world and fill it with inspiration, good music and love for each
other... but there's never too much of that... so let's get it there.
Who writes and produces all the material for the band?
As a music company we vary in artists and material. We are all individual artists with individual
careers who write our own music and record our own songs as well. We do tend to collaborate on some
songs and projects but currently I am putting out solo material and various projects.
Has the band played in front of or with any acts our readers would
know from the mainstream?
Nah, haven't gotten the honor to rock any stages with mainstream artists yet, but anything can
happen... so I'm ready.
Where can people access your music on the web?
www.jbizjerzup.com is the
number one source for me and my updates.
Any embarrassing moments on stage?
Haha... ummm I'm not sure if I'm blanking them out on purpose or if I really don't have any...
regardless me and the stage have had a nice relationship and we are definitely still building it
to the best it can be...
Any good stories you want to tell us?
Yeah why not. Good stories are the s--t... ummm honestly my life and music are really the good
stories that drive me. Those are things I share and I also feel we can share together through
music... ummmmm and I'm going to Canada in June... that should be a good story! Yes!
Who are the band's musical influences?
My musical influences vary... to name a few... 2pac, Bob Marley, John Lennon, Notorious Big, Lupe
Fiasco, Bob Dylan and the list really goes on...
