If you're in need of a hotel that's right under your nose in Baltimore, this is the one that fits
the location factor. Situated within the Baltimore/Washington International Airport district, the
Four Points by Sheraton BWI Airport is a unique mix of classic facilities and modern branding.

"Classic facility" you ask? Well, the lobby is a key example of classic 1990s atmosphere. The
modernity of this this hotel, however, is shown within its operations and attitude. Service won us
over almost immediately after check-in, as this hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service from
the airport and the nearest light rail and Amtrak/MARC stations. All that's required is a short
friendly phone call or a conversation at front desk to help you on your way. This shuttle service
combined with the usefulness of Baltimore's light rail system makes trips into the city's downtown
quick and effortless.

During our stay, the effort was mainly on the hotel's part, putting a smile despite the volume of
guests and unusual requests. As a member of their points program, complimentary bottles of water
were provided, and they easily heeded my request for more after the initial bottle ran out. It's a
semantic request, but it shows the lengths the staff will take to fulfill our needs.

Our room, despite the chic furnishings had a dated feel, especially in the bathroom. The carpets
look like they're from a different era, and the drywall in the bathroom looked rather "crusty" -
someone cut and then replaced some of the drywall in this specific room.

  |
Neither do they provide complimentary breakfast as standard issue, like a couple of its business
hotel competitors.

The ultimate surprise in our experience with this hotel is something that has never been experienced
before for us. The first people you meet, the shuttle bus drivers, have a positive magnetism that
leaves everyone with a great first impression, even before check-in.
