Ramada Niagara Falls Niagara Falls, Ontario |

Many hotels in the Niagara Falls area advertise that they're near the actual falls, but the
Ramada Niagara Falls is just far enough for a nice stroll, but close enough where you don't
need to constantly pay for extra parking.

The lobby is small and spartan but professional, although the pool is located right beside the
entrance which may be uncomfortable if you want to take a dip (you'd probably have to change into
your swimsuit in your room). The staff running reception are generally quite resourceful. We
weren't sure if they had an updated system because the lady said we were going to be put into
single king room instead of the double queen room we asked for (though my traveling companion is of
close relation, we aren't that close).

The rooms are of a simplistic decor with a coffee maker in the bathroom, a flat screen television
and a desk that fits basic office needs. What's really missing is a fridge and/or microwave - two
things that prove to be important if you aren't interested in relying on nearby restaurants and
take out. The bathroom also lacks a coat hanger; with a variety of hand and body towels, it's hard
to hang everything on one hook.

This Ramada has a sixth sense when it comes to beds. Most hotels bunch up a mass of pillows that
forces you to exert some effort squishing away all those extra feathers. This hotel leaves the
number of issued pillows to three, which is perfect for a person like I. And the sleep was amazing.

If walking to the falls district for dining is too much for you, there's always the onsite IHOP
restaurant, although those prices can get expensive. With free wifi and a semi-private business
centre, you always have a way to keep in touch.

In all, a no nonsense stay without too many thrills, though a few more services like free breakfast
or a fridge or microwave in the room could've sweetened the deal and made the modern feel more
digestible.
