Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Vaughan Vaughan, Ontario |
  |
It's remarkable that the City of Vaughan, north of Toronto, has so many hotels. Apart from the
possible draws like Vaughan Mills and Canada's Wonderland, there's not really much of a reason to
visit as a tourist, but the proliferation of major chains have proven that one's wary thoughts are
incorrect.

The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Vaughan compared to other hotels in the immediate area is an
older property, and is located at the corner of Highway 7 and Interchange Way, a block or two away
from Highway 400 and Highway 407. The definite strong point here is the business centric
accommodation that can be reached so easily by car or transit, but the atmosphere at the front has
pressing reminders of a European quality, steps from cosmopolitan Woodbridge.

The minute we checked out our room, we realized that this hotel has ensured the guest is
sentimentally taken care of, from the chocolates beside the bed to the card that kindly says "good
night". I certainly believe that despite the flagrant obsessive use of paper in an attempt to
flatter us, it is a point of distinction from your usual business hotel.

With the convention centre next door, there is a definite hint of grandeur, and the lobby is
complete with a fireplace and plasma television switched on to the local news channel. An eclectic
strategy as they combine a sleek decor in a bid to make you feel warm and cozy with the
amentities.

As with other hotels, there is a pool and fitness centre, while the business centre provides a more
spacious productive environment compared to other establishments, with plenty of office supplies
and complimentary photocopying and printing.

The attentive service certainly stands out, especially with the breakfast buffet, with an attentive
staff that provides you with constant inquiries about food and refills before you even think of
them. Some may feel it's intrusive, but I think of it as intuitive.

This property is a better hotel than many in the Toronto area. Their focus on ensuring guests feel
cozy is a notable effort to say the least.
