Since 1987, Christopher J. Wray has used unique and unusual sounds
for his albums. With music spanning the ambient, symphonic electronic
and progressive electronic genres, C.J. has managed to create his own
unique style which has gained him a massive fanbase.
His recent
albums "Dreamers" (2002), "Dreamers Two" (2004) and "The Time
Bell" (2006) have helped him to make his mark on the electronic
music scene. One of Chris' more recent albums is titled "Berlin"
which was released in 2008.
Symphonic, electronic and progressive.
Christopher J. Wray became an independent internet DJ/Producer in
2003 for the now-deceased Ampcast.com, which was an Online Music
Distributor (OMD) committed in supporting independent artists from
around the world.
Chris' main show was Surreal Radio, which specialised in the
electronic music realm of former Ampcast.com, presenting the newest and
fresh mp3s from various artists. Later on in the lifespan of the
programme, the host introduced special highlights for particular
artists and even presented live concerts from the likes of
Palancar & one-off interviews from Kevin Fletcher Tweedy, Mike
Fitzpatrick and Colin Mansfield.
Despite the success of "Surreal Radio", C.J. decided to quit his
post in March 2005, but this wasn't before producing and hosting
Ampcast's best radio programme which was titled "The British
Invasion" which featured a great heap of artists, interviews,
featurettes, concerts. This special one-off event was an eight
hour spectacle.
Chris lends a hand to other various online media outlets around the world,
showing that he really is a mad-keen independent music supporter.
