Any embarrassing moments on stage?
Our bass player passed out from the flu one time right as we began our show.
Another time we were playing the Northern California Blues Festival at a large
park and the generator that was supplying the power ran out of fuel in the
middle of our opening song. All that kept going were the drums... the rest of
us were standing there looking at three thousand people.
Any good stories you want to tell us?
I feel blessed that I have been able to sit on tour buses and actually become
friends with Johnny Winter, Otis Rush, Hubert Sumlin, and John Mayall.
Who is your musical influence?
Hank Williams, Albert King, Otis Rush, Magic Sam, Black Crows, Ozzy Osborne,
Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson and lots others...
What is your musical background like?
I have a AA degree in Music and lots of years listening and playing along to
great music.
Any other members in your family that are musicians?
My father played drums, but long before I came around.
What is the TOP reason why you want to play music?
There is a creative force in me that needs to be released and when I do,
it gives me pleasure to see others enjoy it.
What is the process of making a CD?
Wake up in the morning with the inspiration to write a song. Record the rough
version onto my Mac. Take that song into the recording studio and develop it
further. Once the basic song is recorded, I begin to tweek it and add other
parts and instruments to it. Then comes the mixing stage, and then the song is
sent out for mastering. And thats it!

How is your local response to your music?
Even though I live in Nashville, I grew up in California and have a great
following on the West Coast.
What is the furthest you have traveled for a gig?
I am on an airplane at least two or three times per week. Once I am on the plane
the distance traveled doesn't see to matter.
How do you think times like the economic recession are affecting musicians
like yourself?
There are certainly a lot fewer festivals due to sponsors pulling the plug
because of money issues.
What do you have planned in the coming months?
We'll be on the Legendary Blues Cruise to Mexico with a bunch of great artists,
then we will be doing some shows on the West Coast before we travel and play a
bunch of shows in the south until we reach Florida. It will be non stop touring
for the rest of the year.
