Interview: Madonna Nash |
What got you started in this business?
I started singing when I was a kid. Music was a common denominator in my
family.
Who writes and produces all the material?
I write/co-write all of the music on the album. My album was produced by Charles
Fulp and Dave Demay.
Have you ever played in front of or with any acts our readers would
know from the mainstream?
Gretchen Wilson, Gloriana, Jason Michael Carroll, Lee Brice, Edwin McCain, just
to name a few...
Any embarrassing moments on stage?
Forgetting lyrics is the worst. But I guess we have all been there.
Any good stories you want to tell us?
A lady never tells!
Who are your musical influences?
I grew up loving Patsy Cline, Reba, Steve Warner, Edwin McCain, Jewel... I could
go on all day.
What is your musical background like?
Country with a splash of everything else.
Any other members in your family that are musicians?
Everyone; my dad traveled playing guitar and singing, my mom graduated with
honors in music from East Carolina University, my brother is a sick bass player
and my sis sings and played drums.
What is the top reason why you want to play music?
It's the only thing I have ever wanted to do, for as long as I can remember.
What has been your best show?
I love them all, but I will never forget getting to sing a duet with Edwin
McCain after opening for him last year.
