Interview: Wesson
|   |
|   |
What got you started in this business?
|   |
I've been rhyming since 12 years old, and only started recording songs for the last couple of years.
Basically, I wanted to continue with my studies in school and work toward my passion a little more
aggresively.
|   |
Who writes and produces your material?
|   |
I write all the lyrics in my content, but my 34th team may sometimes come together as a group and
collectively bounce ideas for certain tracks we want to put out, such as ideas for choruses,
et cetera.
|   |
Have you played in front of or with any acts our readers would
know from the mainstream?
|   |
At the moment, no. We're looking to book a few shows once the mixtape drops.
|   |
Where can people access your music on the web?
|   |
They can check out reverbnation.com/wesson and
soundclick.com/wesson for
free streams and downloads.
|   |
Any embarrassing moments on stage?
|   |
None I can say so far...
|   |
Who are your musical influences?
|   |
My musical influences stem from 90s hip hop and old school R&B. But I study a lot of music from
Nas, Rakim, and old school groups like New Edition.
|   |
What is your musical background like?
|   |
I use to play instruments when I was younger. But otherwise, a microphone is what I use best.
|   |
Any other members in your family that are musicians?
|   |
I'd probably have to say I'm the first in my family to pursue music this far.
|   |
What is the top reason why you want to play music?
|   |
The respect, and love you get when a fan can empathize with your music. I love knowing people feel
my lyrics and my music and want to support my artistic expression. Thats what music is all about.
|   |
What has been your best show?
|   |
Hopefully every one will be a "best".
