I really wanted to see if I could assemble a band that would want to be in that band based solely
on if they liked the songs I was writing. There have been line-up changes, but so far, so good.
It's funny how many young kids I see walking around today with their Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and
Zeppelin shirts on. Even they get it. You can only force feed music for so long. One of our songs
"Industry Witch" is about that very thing.
Like any good band Downsiid started for the fun and love of the music, as time goes by it became
a nonstop passion with the pursuit of something greater. To be on top of the world.
It seems that's what happens when you are a band that picks up steam quickly - it's like you don't
have the resume but you have the skills. The important thing is that we put on a show every
listener will remember every time we go out!
I've been rhyming since 12 years old, and only started recording songs for the last couple of
years. Basically, I wanted to continue with my studies in school and work toward my passion a
little more aggresively.
