Dear Leanne,

If boat rides weren't as shaky or gastronomically threatening, I would be in a lot better shape to praise what I am about to phrase.

I don't know why, and I don't know how, but somehow I have wound up in the resort destination of Bintan, Indonesia.

You would think that a resort would be a very fine pleasure, and yes, there's a swimming pool and a beach with the adorable seaside view.

But, as luckily unlucky as I am, coming here in the middle of December means pouring monsoon rains outside.

How ironic would it be if I was out on my honeymoon at this time in this resort?

Sure, it's a very pristine place to celebrate ties, but I would be one VERY unlucky man if the monsoon rains come with coincidence.

Contrary to others, I'm not complaining at all.

As long as my hotel room is spacious, and there is air conditioning, I'm a happy camper.

But try to consider the ride here. I am absolutely no seaworthy man, and the ferry from Singapore produced more than its share of passengers who threw up.

Ahh well. Depends on your point of view.

Selamat Datang,
Phil
