Random pearls of wisdom from scattered sources, part one

Some of the most inspiring words I have heard in my life have come from short pearls of wisdom sometimes spoken by the least expected persons. I always write them down and now, in no particular order and with no credit for those who spoke them, I am going to share many of them with you in part one of two parts.

You can never enter a place you have never left.

It's safe to say you are never really safe.

Do not think you were born with a silver constitution in your mouth.

Listen to your mother; just not always.

If it looks really bad, cover it up.

On the street of dreams there are many a nightmare.

Anything times one is anything.

Every day is not another day; all of them are now.

Perfectly good reasons need not always apply.

What's a million dollars in the end? Three zeroes, nothing; circles with holes in them.

No news is good news but bad news may really stink.

Going bald is not the worst thing that can happen to a man's skull.

Great expectations may lead to great disappointments.

The young are care free, while the elderly are free of care.

Thoughts can kill.

Reality inspires fiction.

Dying is easy; comedy is hard.

Some thing always has to happen.

...to be continued.
