His name is still Wendell Pencilmark and he claims to be one of the best psychiatrists in the field today - and some think tomorrow. Wendell is known to as Dr. Shrink. He has agreed to continue with one of our most popular features, documenting his answers to questions people have sent him about problems. Thus, we continue to feature these Qs and As intermittently.

Q: I keep dreaming about an object that changes sizes and shapes opposite its function. What does this mean?

A: Ever hear of a condition called E.D.? See a doctor, drop your drawers.

Q: Is infidelity inherent?

A: Only if a member of your family practiced it in the past.

Q: When I cry I become hungry. What do I do?

A: Eat, I hope.

Q: Was Sigmund Freud a Nazi?

A: No.

Q: My husband says I am crude, rude and lewd. Where does he get such ideas?

A: Doctor Seuss, perhaps?

Q: I gamble, not just on horses and casino games, I take big risks like hang gliding with an overweight partner, skin diving with no wet suit, big game hunting with a hand knife and mountain climbing naked. I never feel as alive as I do when I risk money or my life with such activities. When I am not gambling I dream about taking bigger and more dangerous chances for thrills. Is this healthy?

A: Not if your luck runs out and one of those antics kills you.

Q: My soul, I feel, is worthless, and I will wind up in Hell, burning for all eternity. What is strange about this is that I am a surgeon who saves the lives of people who wind up on operating tables, clinging for their lives. Why do I feel everything I do for the good of mankind will send me to Hell?

A: Because you believe there is a Hell.

Q: On a scale of one to ten, how crazy is a lust for submarine sandwiches that is so strong I would kill for a foot-long?

A: We should discuss this after lunch.
