Trying to impress philosophers as his father did, Marcus Aurelius Jr. wrote a version of his father's classic "Meditations." Here are some quotes from Junior's book, "Masturbations".

Dwelling on life’s beautiful things will only swell the best part of a man's body.

Everything anyone says is an opinion and most opinions suck spoiled stuffed grape leaves.

Your soul is deep and becomes deeper until you lose it in a fight.

Our lives are not adventures, nor are they frivolous journeys. Our lives are ho hum, at best.

Why be upset about the future? If it comes at you angrily, give the future a present. See what I did there?

Reflect on yourself by the image cast in a stream, but do not by the image of your fat bottom.

Look well into yourself but not into a well where yourself might fall into it.

What pains we know can hurt us.

Eternity is not any of our concern. After all, it’s a long time away.

A man's worth is not measured by coins, nor how many it takes to weigh as much as he does.

Nothing can happen to anybody that does not happen to somebody if that somebody is not you.

To breathe deeply is to take in what matters in life. Because without breating, let's face it, you won't around long.

Though you break your heart, only the gods can make a tree.

Demons be gone but kings are throne (see what I did there?).

When you arise in the morning, think of the precious privilege it is to not have died in your sleep, else getting up would be moot.
