An expanding interest in Cryptozoology arrived in 2025. Cryptozoology is the study of mythical creatures - called cryptids - that people believe were real and become extinct or are real but elude humankind.

"New sightings contribute to the rise in Cryptozoology interest," said Professor Whipley Sundbathe. "Many new cryptids are being discovered and named."

In Kentucky a number of bluegrass horse breeders reported seeing Equinadevil. "Witnesses say it's a creature disguised as a horse," said Sundbathe, "but its head resembles famous jockey Willie Shoemaker." Equinadevil eats newborn foals, according to a witness who also said, "it can also play the banjo."

Wopbopalouah is the name given to a strange creature sighted by haystack salesmen in Iowa. "This thing is gruesome," said Sundbathe, "and is seasonal. Believers claim its six men with wrestler-like bodies that are conjoined at the elbows. They say you can hear it coming because it howls in four-part harmony."

In Pennsylvania Amish country there is a "being that digs tunnels under barns built by Amish carpenters," said Sundbathe. "Amos Nestbueller, an Amish carpenter told me the hairy thing is slim and strong with foot-long claws like corkscrews."

Dungeon Demon has been reported seen in thirty U.S. states on the same nights. Witnesses also report the thing looks like a scarecrow with a face like the most recent photo of Al Pacino wearing a tuxedo.

Since our last blog on cryptids there are also reported sightings of Zipperfox Ratface Weasel, The Angry Moosechild, Ungah Monker Child Hunter and Yooster Rooster.

"We are keeping records of all cryptid sightings new and old and will reveal them to the public soon," said Sunbathe.
