GRANTVILLE, Pa. - Lately, the buzz about making Cotolo Chronicles into a movie is loud but not clear again. At the show's offices, sources say, people identified as residents of Hollywood, California, were seen arriving in large, black cars. Some of these people, other sources say, look like the same people who came some months ago to discuss making the program's movie version.

It was some time ago but the rumor that the famous talk show would become a movie surfaced from, of all places, a weatherman in the Los Angeles TV market. The man, during a boring local weathercast, called for a sunny weekend with a chance of a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles.

Immediately, representatives from Paramount Studios were swamped with questions about the possibility of a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles.

One member of the Paramount administration said, "We have heard nothing about a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles."

Another member of the administration said, "I have not been notified that there is even a script for a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles."

But recently a writer that goes by the name of Holly Calabash said he had sold a treatment for a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles to Paramount or Universal.

At Universal, a top member of the executive production team said he remembers "reading a treatment for a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles."

At the offices for the show, a source told reporters that there are thirteen different treatments currently circulating for a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles.

"One of them," the source said, "takes place in Mozambique and features Anne Hathaway as Cotolo's love interest."

Anne Hathaway's agent refused to comment.

"Another treatment," the source said, "involves Cotolo getting into a time machine and going back in time to meet Marconi, the guy who invented the radio. There, Cotolo disguises himself as a billionaire and tells Marconi there is a lot of investment money for development of a machine called a radio but only if Marconi has a very attractive daughter that Cotolo can take to dinner. This is a stirring story, one that places the host of the show in an historic time when the very medium is invented."

A writer, Ben Scoldbutter, told inquiring reporters that he is the author of a treatment for a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles that Robert Deniro has already committed to starring in as Cotolo's father.
Deniro's agent refused to comment.

The rumors continue to generate more rumors about a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles. We will keep you posted on any news concerning a movie version of Cotolo Chronicles.
