What happened? So many times that is the question we ask because when it comes to things that
happen, to anyone or us, there are only three things that come to mind.
|
  |
First, there is what you want to happen. If you are one of those people that doesn't think of
yourself as creative, just think of how you think when you think about what you want to happen in
any scenario. You make things up, don't you? You hope and wish, don't you? If you hear that someone
is sick and you like that person, what you want to happen if for that person to become healthy
again. If you don't like the person, you feel guilty about what you want to happen because it isn't
pleasant. But you want it to happen because you want to think that what happens is always some kind
of justice, at least by your standards. What we want to happen can be cruel sometimes, though we
deny it because we think if we want bad things to happen then bad things will happen to us.
|
  |
What we want to happen is usually something that will affect us positively. Even though we know that
whatever happens cannot always be good for us, we want good stuff to happen and we don't feel guilty
about it being a selfish feeling. We just want to be good because we hope we will be rewarded for
being good, which is something else we want to happen.
|
  |
Next, there is what you think will happen. This is a creative state of mind and if you let your mind
go you can come up with the craziest scenarios. However, most people try to be logical and think
within the realm of reason. By the way, my new book, "The Realm Of Reason," is now available on
Amazon and other Internet sites named after jungles. So, what you think will happen takes into
account the game of being correct. You want what you think to happen to happen so you can say, "See,
I was right," and being right is what this is all about. None of us like being wrong about anything;
we always want to be right and some of us think we are always right, that we can do no wrong. By
the way, my next book is titled, "We Can Do No Wrong."
|
  |
Last and least is what actually happens. The results of any particular happening depend upon more
elements than any one of us can measure at the time we are thinking what we want or what we think
will happen. This is basically because what really happens has no actual regard for any of us.

|
Things that happen don't happen within the realm of reason (don't forget to buy my book) to satisfy
what we want or think will happen. Things that happen, of course, can be provoked by any one of us
but far too much happens with no concern to what we think or want. In fact, stuff happens all the
time, it never stops happening, this stuff, but we don't concern ourselves with most of it because
we have things we must make happen - like grocery shopping and changing light bulbs and making left
turns with our vehicles - when driving them, of course.
|
  |
So next time something is about to happen, make sure you are being objective about it because
whatever is going to happen is out of your control most of the time and if you find it in your
control, just do your best.
